Approximately 60 members of the Lee’s Summit R-7 Citizens’ Advisory Committee, Business Roundtable and Board of Education as well as several PTA presidents attended the March 9 event.

The annual event is hosted by the Citizens’ Advisory Committee and was held at the Missouri Innovation Campus. Kent Kirby, the organization’s chairperson, served as moderator.

All 11 state legislators representing the school district were invited to participate in the forum with the following attending: Sen. Mike Cierpiot, Rep. Donna Pfautsch, Rep. Rebecca Roeber, Rep. Rory Rowland and Rep. Dan Stacy.

The meeting began with the elected officials presenting opening statements.
