Phase II work in the Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) process was conducted throughout the spring of 2019. The CFMP team reconvened to continue providing input and feedback for our process action teams and planning teams that met throughout the spring.
The process action teams, as a result of Phase I work in the CFMP, studied and researched best practices and applicable scenarios for our LSR7 schools. The process action teams and planning teams that were gathered are below:

These teams were comprised of students, teachers, support staff, administrators, parents and community members. As they worked through their associated teams throughout the spring, they began reporting out their findings and recommendations in the summer of 2019.
At the same time, our partner DLR Group was collaborating on our LSR7 Playbook which encompasses a framework for decision-making as we move forward with #R7FutureReady initiatives, schools and programming.

This presentation, given at the regularly scheduled August 2019 Board of Education meeting, details research, findings and recommendations related to moving sixth grade to the middle school environment, starting with the 2022-2023 school year.
At their regularly scheduled meeting on Setp. 24, 2019, the Board of Education voted to proceed with moving 6th graders to the middle school environment, beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, in conjunction with proposed facility projects.
